Support SWCAA

What can $9 do?

You may be surprised to learn that $9 can provide two balanced meals delivered to the home of an older adult or two meals served in the community café of your local senior center.  The government provides some support for meals but SWCAA needs your support to fill the gap.

Donations to the Southwestern CT Agency on Aging (SWCAA) support programs for seniors throughout Fairfield County. Your donation will go to work immediately providing critical needs, food, shelter and access to services, for hundreds of Fairfield County’s most needy seniors.  Our Senior Housing Assistance Program has helped Mrs. A relocate by providing funds to move her belongings to a new apartment in senior housing.  Mrs. A sent a note to SWCAA stating that she could not have made the move without our help.  Your donations make a difference!

Last year, SWCAA funds helped a senior flee an abusive situation, secure housing and receive in-home support. For less than $1,500, we were able to relocate the senior and provide a safe environment and the opportunity to live with peace of mind. Your donations make a difference!

Giving seniors and disabled individuals an alternative to nursing home institutional care is our primary goal. Sometimes, a small amount of funding can provide a much-needed furnace repair, transportation to a medical appointment or moving expenses.  SWCAA supports the independent living and housing needs of older adults in collaboration with the Fairfield County Community Foundation and the John H. and Ethel G. Noble Trust.   Your donations make it possible to help more seniors in need.

Become a Friend of the Agency today and see your donations at work.   Thank you for your commitment to care for Fairfield County’s most vulnerable seniors.

If you prefer to make a donation via U.S. Mail, please feel free to make checks payable to SWCAA and mail to: 1000 Lafayette Blvd, 9th floor, Bridgeport, CT 06604  ATTN: Rachael Harvey
